Who Is Your Instructor & Host's Background to Qualify for the Sessions?
Ben is a licensed Home Builder and General Contractor, and he graduated from Auburn University, with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
The academic foundation he received laid the groundwork for the visionary projects he would later undertake, marrying creativity and technical expertise to bring dreams to life. Later, Ben helped found Appleseed Workshop in downtown Birmingham, where he worked until 2015 when he left to focus on residential remodeling, and that is when he started Strout Architecture.
Then, in 2020, Ben invented the process by which we add second story additions today and Another Story was born. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ben cherishes his role as a proud father and dedicated family man. Ben, his wife Katie, and their four children (ranging in ages from 5 to 11) reside in Homewood. Ben finds solace and fulfillment in nurturing his children's growth and witnessing their unique journeys unfold. When Ben isn’t working or spending time with family, he finds joy in pushing the boundaries of physical fitness and indulging in extreme sports
